Refund Policy

What qualifies for an automatic refund

• Technical failure. The paid features genuinely don't work for you - licence validation fails, the growing plan won't generate, the download is broken. We'll try to help first; if we can't fix it within 48 hours we refund in full.
• Accidental duplicate purchase. You bought twice by mistake. We refund the second charge.
• Unauthorised charge. Someone else used your card. Contact your bank and us; we'll work it out via LemonSqueezy.

What doesn't automatically qualify

Because the four free calculators (Self-Sufficiency, Soil, Companion, Planting Dates) are fully usable before purchase, most "didn't meet my expectations" scenarios should be caught before you hand over any money. We expect buyers to have tried the free tier first.

• "The plan suggested something I disagreed with."
• "I changed my mind a week later."
• "My yield didn't match the estimate." (It rarely will exactly - growing is variable.)

That said, we're people. If something's genuinely off, email us and explain. We'd rather refund a grumpy customer than keep the $39.99.

How to request a refund

1. Email urbanroot.contact@gmail.com with your order number (from your LemonSqueezy receipt) and a short note on what went wrong.
2. We'll confirm receipt within one business day.
3. Once approved, the refund is processed by LemonSqueezy (our payment processor). It usually shows up on your card in 3–10 business days, depending on your bank.
4. Once a refund is issued, your licence key is deactivated and you lose access to the paid features. The free calculators still work for everyone, paid or not.

Chargebacks

Please email us before filing a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback costs Urban Root about $20 in bank fees regardless of outcome, on top of refunding the $39.99. Most issues can be fixed in a day by email.
